Today is my last day in Dublin...
It all began with a CCSA orientation at a hotel across the street. We filled out a survey, talked about packing and plans for tomorrow. These fun facts included:
A. We have to be up and ready in the lobby at 5:40 am.
B. There is a very good chase of delays due to storms in Newark.
C. Did I mention that we have to be up and ready by 5:40 am?!
Once we left orientation, we headed back over to our hotel to have breakfast in the very nice hotel restaurant. After having some coffee and food, Erin and I met with our professor about our final projects for out class at 6 p.m.
Once we talked to Rachael about the projects, we both headed up to our rooms to final all our homework. Our final portfolio, last social media post, journal and editorial are all due tonight at 6; so we decided to do it all and spend the rest of the day out.
While Amelia went out with her cousin who lives in Dublin for lunch, Erin and I decided to go get some food then shop a little. We tried going to Temple Bar but it was super crowded. On second thought we headed over to a place for afternoon tea we saw a couple days before.
We ended up eating at a place that looked like a saloon (and we are pretty sure is tied to the Russian Mafia). Not only was it dark and a little creepy, but the only people working were the waiter who was also the owner and the bar tender lady. It was very empty and a man come in, got an address from the owner eating spaghetti in the corner and then left.
Anyways, we shopped around a bit before heading over to St. Stephan's Park to take a picture in my Bellarmine shirt (it was required for the scholarship) and met up with Amelia to do hers (see pictures below).
We then headed down the road for doughnuts at a place called Off Beat that we have came to know and love.

Now finished with my last class, were we all got to show off our final portfolio (click through below to see mine in Wix accepted form), we grabbed a quick dinner at ole faithful, The Gingerman, so we could shower, pack and get some sleep.

Wish us luck with our travels tomorrow. We are leaving the hotel at 5:40 am here (12:40 am) y'all's time; we then are flying out at 9 am (4 am) to land in Newark at 11:30 am (everyone's time!). After a 4-5 hour layover I will be headed back to Nashville then get in my car and head up to Bellarmine.
Its going to be a hell of a time, but it is all so worth it. Travel has become something I love and the trips don't end here. I want to keep exploring and adventuring both at home in the States, and around the world.
Thanks to everyone who made this happen for me, and I cant wait to get home and start working with the kids at Heuser Hearing Institute.
See ya later Ireland!
