Its my birthday. Its my birthday, froze my fingers off like its my birthday.

Today we had/have a full day planned of things to do and see. It all started off with about an hour and a half coach ride to Glendalough/Powers Court House south of Dublin. Our tour guide from the first day, Johnny was back with is telling us facts along the way. We went through some beautiful land and small towns, and even saw a rainbow.

Once we arrived at Glendalough we went to the Welcome center where they had a museum and a movie that we watched as well. The whole town is very significant in Ireland and with Christianity in Ireland as well.

Once we looked around inside for a little, Johnny informed us we will be heading out to the tower then on to the lake. As he said this, all 3 classes mouths dropped as we were surrounded by windows. Y’all when I say it was raining and windy…there is a huge emphasis on the windy part. I have genuinely never experienced winds like that. It was almost hard to walk into it. As we all struggled to follow Johnny, take pictures for our class, not fall over or loose our fingers to the cold… Johnny just kept stopping to talk about different places we would pass.

I’m not gonna lie to you folks, it was cold as hell; but we got some amazing photographs out of it (Please click through).

Once we saw some of the original church ruins, the tower and parts of the beautiful grave yard; we headed out for the 20 minute walk to the lakes…both ways. Amelia, Erin and I laughed as we STRUGGLED to get along without freezing, getting blown away or loose our cameras. Because we are photographers and the art must go on, we had to get some pictures out of it too. A windy 20 minutes later we arrive at the lake pictured above!

Also, can we talk about this selfie...

...anyways...

The rain had slowed and we had lost all feeling on our bodies so we look more pictures on the way back as well. Once we returned to the Welcome Center, we got back on the coach and headed for the Powers Court House. When we got there, we had all agreed it was past time to eat. Once we got our tickets, Johnny pulled us back out in the windy cold to give us a little more history and tell us what the plan was. Hangry, cold and in need of water; I was over it and ready to go back into the café. Well we kinda couldn’t find a way back in to the building due to some confusing signs..but we figured it out. The restaurant there had kindly reserved a beautiful sun room for our group. We had a great lunch and a chance to warm up before exploring the National Geographic Rated Number 4 Most Beautiful Garden. After some amazing food and a hot cup of tea, we headed back out to get some more pics.

Not going to lie, it was stunning. A huge property that was so well kept and so beautiful. See for yourself.

After a few hours at the Powers Court House, we hopped back on the coach for the ride back to the hotel. Now back on my bed and defrosting, I am battling the horrible WiFi to submit my homework and write to you all!

Pictures from yesterday are coming (I hope) and today’s as well.

Tonight our class is going to see a play called Let The Right One In at Abbey Theatre. It is apparently about Vampires.. I don’t know.

I gotta get dressed and go find some food so I will write to you all later. Peace!

Finally got WiFi after the play. The play sure was interesting. It was a very impressive show with great cast, staging, lights, music, etc. They even went above and beyond with actual water, crazy effects and movement. I am however, not quite sure about the plot...ask me about it sometime.

Tomorrow morning we are going to tour Guinness so wish us luck!

P.S. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I wish I could be with you all today!
