I'm in Dublin y'all!

We spent the day traveling from London to Dublin. A mix of couch, plane, more coach and plenty of walking; the majority of my day was just that.

Once we landed in Dublin (from our like hour flight) the pilot said it was extremely windy and raining...it gets better. The pilot comes back on and says they are rolling the steps up to the plane now. Ya we got off the plane via steps on the runway into some intense winds and rain from an incoming storm.

More travel later, we took a short tour from the couch of the city with a guide (as it was getting dark). We got to the hotel and went up to our room for a few minutes before our orientation. Amelia and I got in our room, dropped off our stuff and then quickly headed across the street for a snack. Subway was closed so we got some popcorn and coke from the coffee shop next door. We then headed to the sister hotel a couple feet away with our group for orientation. Once our laid back orientation ended, we stepped out of the room we are in for a super nice dinner in that hotel. We were served bread and could choose between Beef Cheeks or Fish. I chose beef and it was great. It was served on a bed of mash with caramelized carrots on the side.

Once dinner ended; Amelia, Erin and I decided to go to a little bakery nearby for dessert. When I say we experienced extreme winds, I am not kidding. I almost got blown away.

We arrived at the little dessert shop and cafe, grabbed some cake slices and headed back.

From what I can tell so far, the town is so beautiful and laid back. Even the people from the hotel at orientation that talked to us told us how nice everyone is in this city. She even said if they see you looking at a map on the street, odds are someone will stop and ask to help you, that's just what they do.

I am extremely excited to start looking around tomorrow! We are going to the Gallery of Photography at 11 am tomorrow and then possibly going to Trinity College to see the Book of Kells, I will keep y'all updated!

Dublin pictures to come!

P.S. We saw The Mousetrap at a London theater last night it it was great. It was a murder mystery set around a young British couple who was starting a guest house in London. It was a good show, no matter if I was physically touching the heater, we enjoyed it.
